Parrot wing is believed to be a stone of forgiveness and peace as well as empowerment of feminine energy.

A mixture of jasper, azurite, chrysocolla, and quartz, Parrot Wing gets it’s name because of the intense blue, green and sometimes red colors reminiscent of a parrot.  This stone can often be mistaken for turquoise.

Sources can be found in Mexico, southwestern US, Australia, France, and Zaire.

Ancient Egyptians believed that Chrysocolla was a wise stone because it shielded and encouraged the mind during negotiations. Cleopatra wore it everywhere because she believed that the stone had the ability to help people who are violent become more tolerant and sensitive.
